The Development Academy of the Philippines, through its Center for Governance (CFG), capped the Education, Training, and Capability Building Seminar (ETCBS) Program with an Integration Activity in San Jose de Buenavista, Antique in December 2025. Some 35 representatives from local government units across Antique participated in the province-wide capability building initiative on smart and sustainable approaches.
The activity synthesized learnings from the ETCBS local course series covering agriculture, MSME development, nutrition, and local policy formulation—translating these into actionable, locally driven initiatives.
Highlights of the activity included the presentation of a Rapid Assessment of Antique’s smart governance landscape, an Idea Gallery of priority actions, Spark Talks, and a hands-on Bayanihan Map exercise that surfaced opportunities for inter-LGU collaboration across the province.

DAP-CFG Vice President Imelda Caluen emphasized the importance of cross-sector integration in building a more resilient and progressive Antique, while Sen. Loren Legarda encouraged LGUs to turn learning into action, reaffirming her continued support for local development initiatives.

To close the activity, DAP-CFG Director Jannis Montañez described the integration activity as a convergence point where learning, reflection, and priority-setting come together with the shared commitment of LGUs to serve their communities more effectively.

The Integration Activity reinforced Antique’s collective commitment to collaboration, innovation, and evidence-based decision-making—laying the groundwork for sustained and inclusive development across the province.
