During the meeting, Sec. Sarmiento shared his vision for the office, highlighting the importance of collective efforts with local governments in local peace talks and reintegration programs, and the important role of DAP in capacitating government agencies and in strengthening leadership in the public sector.ย ย

Secretary Sarmiento also serves as a resident subject matter expert and faculty member of DAPโs Local Government Executives and Managers Class (LGEMC) under the Public Management Development Program (PMDP), where he contributes his expertise in local governance, public leadership, and peacebuilding.
