
Pasig City, 21 May 2026 — The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) held an alignment meeting for the Capacity Development (CapDev) Task Team to support the implementation of the Public Financial Management (PFM) Reform Roadmap 2024–2028.
The meeting updated the management on roadmap developments, clarified DAP’s role, and discussed expectations for its participation in upcoming CapDev initiatives.
The roadmap, anchored on Executive Order No. 29, aims to strengthen fiscal discipline, efficiency, and accountability across government systems.
Acting Executive Vice President Magdalena L. Mendoza highlighted DAP’s commitment as a key partner in advancing capacity development, noting that the Academy has been delivering PFM-related sessions to executive and middle managers since 2014, alongside its continuing role in training, knowledge-sharing, and supporting a harmonized PFM learning framework.
DBM also requested DAP to host a CapDev Task Team consultation meeting to finalize the stocktaking report, align priority interventions, and define roles and timelines of implementation of reforms among member-agencies..
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to accelerate collaboration and capacity-building efforts in support of the PFM Reform Roadmap.
